Bibliographic Searches


The IEDCYT´s Bibliographic Searches Service allows the user to retrieve bibliographic references about any subject. This service has access to several international database distributors, and can access over 900 different databases comprising all the fields of knowledge.


Location and Access:
This service is located in the IEDCYT´s Science and Technology building, at Joaquín Costa 22, 28002 Madrid, Spain, third floor.

Requests can be completed in several ways:

  • In person.
  • By mail: to the above mentioned addresses.

All the requests must include, as clearly and shortly as possible, the subject of the search and any keyword related with its different aspects, in English if possible.


Service:

  • Retrospective Searches: provides the user with all the bibliographic references obtained from a search carried out over a given time period and in specific database.
  • Selective Information Dissemination: provides the user with those references included in the last update in the database or databases explored. This information is sent weekly, quarterly, monthly, bimonthly or semi-annually for a time period previously determined by the user.
  • Collective Searches: provides the user with an update of those references included in the articles published by the "Investigación y Ciencia" journal (Spanish edition of Scientific American).
  • Bibliographic Searches on CD-ROM: This Service also have access to several databases in CD-ROM, including Medline, Embase, Inspec, FSTA, ICYT, ISOC, etc.


Service available from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 15.00 save holidays.
