Prices of the Services
and Publications from the IEDCYT

Document Supply

Documents obtained from the iedcyt or other CSIC libraries will be invoiced according to the current prices of the University Libraries' Network (REBIUN):

  • Documents up to 40 photocopies: 5,00 euro.
  • Document over 40 photocopies: 5,00 euro the initial batch of 49 cioues and 0,40 euro each additional copy.

Example: 7 photocopies: 5,00 euro.
35 photocopies: 5,00 euro.
45 photocopies (5 + 5x0,40): 6,00 euros.

libraries non pertaining to the CSIC, or from foreign libraries will undergo or increase of 1.25 euro in the case of Spanish libraries and 25% on the price stipulated by the library of origin in the case of foreign libraries, due to management costs.

These prices are not dependent of the shipment method, and depend only on the origin of the source documents to be copied.

British Library Prices

  • 16,25 euro per document for the standard service.
  • 30,00 euro per document for the searches in other collaborating libraries (extended searches).
  • 46,00 euro for loans (including shipment costs).

INTERLIBRARY LOAN OF BOOKS

The cost of each original volume lent from libraries of the CSIC in Madrid will be 7.00 euro.

If the lent book comes from other Spanish libraries, the minimum cost for the loan (including shipment costs) will be 19.00 euro.

If the book comes from foreign libraries its minimum cost will be 46.00 euros.

BIBLIOGRAPHIC SEARCHES

International Databases:

  • Basic price (applicable to all Databases save those mentioned below ):

    • Each additional reference: 3,00 euro.
  • Chemical Abstracts Database:

OTHER DATABASES

URBADOC Database.

URBADOC is a major international resource bringing together over 700 000 references to documents relating to urban and regional policy and planning from key European database producers, with the aim of improving the international exchange and dissemination of information within these subject areas.

The founding database producers are:

  • Archinet, an association for architectural information (IUAV, CNBA, QUASCO) (IT-Italy)
  • Association Urbamet (IAURIF, DGUHC-CDU du ministère de l'Equipement, INIST) (FR-France)
  • Centro de Información y Documentación Cientifica (ES-Spain)
  • Deutsches Institut für Urbanistik (DE-Germany)
  • Greater London Authority, Research Library (UK-United Kingdom)

In the future, these may be joined by other database producers working in similar subject areas, extending the information available.

Each database can be searched separately or all the databases can be cross-searched. The databases on Urbadoc are updated four times a year.

Urbadoc is supported by the Urbandata Association, which was set up in 1995 to improve the flow of information about urban issues.

TRANSLATIONS

The cost of translations in which the IEDCYT serves as an intermediary will be the price set by the translator increased in a 20% for management costs. The translations require the previous acceptance of the estimate.

METHODS OF PAYMENT FOR SERVICES AND PUBLICATIONS.

  1. Charge to Accounts of Deposit (preferred modality)
    • The opening of a deposit account requires just to make a deposit in cash, through a bank transfer, money order or cheque, for an amount of 90.00 euro or higher, specifying "for the opening of a deposit account". The IEDCYT will notify the user immediately the number assigned to his account. This number must appear always clearly stated in any later requests for services. All the services charged to the deposit account will be accompanied by a notification indicating the balance of the account.
  2. Payment in advance
    • If the client does not have an account opened at the IEDCYT, the payment must be made in advance by any of the following methods.
      1. In cash
      2. Cheque (made out to the IEDCYT)
      3. Postal money order
      4. Bank transfer

COMMENTS

  • All the services delivered by the IEDCYT are VAT-free, save for the selling of publications in any format.
  • All publications will be charged with VAT (4% for paper format and 16% for electronic format) except those sold to the Canary Islands and foreign countries.
  • Publications sold to the Canary Islands and foreign countries are VAT-free.
  • Shipping cost to foreign countries will be charged separately.
